Slime Care

How do I care for my slime?

❤  Wash hands before and after playing with slime. This will help keep your hands and slime clean, thus extending the life of your slime
❤  Always keep slime in an airtight container when not in use. Slime will dry out if not stored properly
❤  DO NOT EAT SLIME! Slime may look and smell edible, but it is not. There are ingredients in slime that can be touched, but not eaten
❤  Keep away from pets and small children. Pets and small children love putting things in their mouths and might think slime is food. Charms that come with slime can also be a choking hazard. Slime is not food, so please watch pets and young children closely around slime.

          Sticky Slime?

Slime that feels sticky needs to be activated. To make activator mix 1 teaspoon borax (provided) with 1 cup of warm water. Let the borax dissolve. This solution is activator. Mix a few drops at a time into the slime until the desired texture is reached. Don’t worry if your slime arrives slightly sticky. In hot weather slime may melt down slightly during the shipping process. This is normal and why a borax packet with instructions is provided

          Stiff or over-activated slime?

If you over-activate your slime and it feels stiff, don’t worry. Try mixing in a few drops of glycerin or lotion and work it into the slime until the desired texture is reached. This is why you should only mix in a small amount of activator at a time. Adding too much activator will cause slime to feel rubbery and stiff.
